Now you can keep your Mobile numbers permanently even if you change Network. TRAI and DoT geared up to provide Mobile Number Portability in India by this November. As announced Earlier in March this year DoT announced that it will roll out Mobile Number Portability from this November. MNP will allow the users to retain their mobile numbers even if they switch their operator.
State Owned BSNL is the first mobile service provider to announce implementation of MNP as they are ready with the infrastructure to start Mobile Number Portability (MNP) by the October 31st.
